Experience
- Built a serverless video transcoding service for Prime Video using Lambda and Step Functions, processing 50k+ videos per day.
- Reduced P99 transcoding latency by 20% through intelligent job batching and a priority-queue backed scheduling layer.
- Designed the DynamoDB data model for a video-metadata store handling 5M+ read operations per day.
- Presented the architecture to the Director of Engineering; design adopted as an internal reference architecture for the team.
- Developed internal tooling for Meta's data-centre provisioning pipeline, automating 3 previously manual deployment steps.
- Saved the infrastructure team 15 hours/week of toil through workflow automation built on top of Meta's internal orchestration platform.
- Profiled and reduced GPU idle time by 8% during PyTorch model-training jobs by surfacing scheduling inefficiencies.
Projects
- Fully serverless URL shortener with an analytics dashboard, handling 1M+ redirects/month at under $2/month in AWS costs.
- Infrastructure-as-code with CDK; multi-region active-active deployment with CloudFront edge caching for sub-10 ms redirects.
- CLI tool that mines CloudWatch metrics to surface cost-optimisation opportunities across AWS accounts.
- Identified $8k/month in unused resources across 3 test accounts during development; 800+ GitHub stars.

7 responsesThis is one of the best intern cloud resumes I've seen. Lambda + DynamoDB for Prime Video is high-stakes work. Definitely call out the traffic scale if you're allowed to — that's what makes this memorable.
Terraform in the skills section is a huge green flag for cloud/infra roles. The 20% latency reduction is good — make sure you can speak to the caching strategy in detail, interviewers at FAANG will dig into it.
Really impressive for an internship. I'd add a brief education section — even for a cloud role, seeing the school and GPA (if strong) rounds out the picture for recruiters.
The Amazon brand carries a lot of weight. If you're targeting other cloud providers (GCP, Azure), consider showing any cross-cloud exposure or certifications in the skills section.
From a recruiting perspective this would pass our ATS instantly — Java, AWS, Lambda, DynamoDB are all keyword matches. Clean format, good length. Recommend applying to L4 roles, not just internships.
